A preliminary report of the autopsy carried out on Ramiro Esteban Sagasta, confirmed that the death occurred as a consequence of the serious burns suffered, 90% to his body; and indicated that other injuries were ruled out.
The prosecution requested anatomopathological, toxicological and other complementary studies of the autopsy, to have more details in relation to the cause of death.
Today the body will be handed over to the relatives for burial, while intense interdisciplinary tasks are carried out in an attempt to clarify the fact.
The Minister of Security and Justice of Salta, Abel Cornejo, said that the case has mafia overtones, that it must set off all the alarms in Salta in terms of security and that all the powers of the state must react.
Prosecutor Verónica Simesen de Bielke, in a press conference, described what Ramiro told the doctors and those who assisted him about what happened as an “important expression.”
“He referred to a third person, but did not give names,” he said.
The prosecutor hinted at the existence of a suspect. The motive for the robbery is weakened, because the bicycle and the helmet were found four meters away in perfect condition, which are appraised. 15 testimonies have already been collected.
